PENANGKARAN BUAYA BLANAKAN

Penangkaran Buaya Blanakan is located Blanakan village, Subang. In this location developed breeding crocodiles type about 200 that consisting of male and female crocodiles complete with their habitat. In this location, tourists can also watch the crocodile’s attraction from the balcony, while the crocodiles eating food that is provided by the coach.

Tourist attraction that has area of 1.5 ha, from the total area that is 8 ha of forest area is managed by PT Tegaltangkil Perhutani. Biside the tourist can watch the attractions of crocodile, the tourists who come to this location also can enjoy the seafood culinary special from Blanakan, such as grilled Etong fish, squid and crab. This culinary serving is served in the food stalls that are arranged nearby the location. The tourist can also go along the sea from Blanakan to Patimban by using a boat that available there. The other facilities, the visitors can enjoy adventure activities such as camping, sightseeing in mangrove forests, and see some breeding animal types.

Another option is trekking. If the time is right, the tourists can see some other wildlife such as Berang-berang, fields’ snakes, jungle cats, and Kuntul birds. Otherwise, for the tourists who have a hobby fishing, can also delight in Blanakan river.

History

In the past, it is an usual place that is usually used to take a bath by the local citizen. However, after a Dutch found the peculiar property of this hot spring that can cure almost anything diseases, especially skin disease, many people from other areas come to experience the particular property of this hot spring. Then, in 1968 the local government made this place became a tourist attraction, and made one swimming pool. However, in March 20, 1974 the local government gave this tourist attraction to PT Sari Ater Resort that is lead by H. A Soewarma.

Sari Ater Resort is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Indonesia. The main attraction of this place is a hot spring that comes from Tangkuban perahu’s cauldron. The hot spring is provided at Swimming pool, private room that has an unique architecture, and the river stream that flows past the tourist attraction.

Sari Ater has 30 ha in width that is supported by the beautiful view of the tea plantations gives many facilities for the tourist who is vacation with their family, beside that the tourists can enjoy the natural view of mountain.
